I Hang Challenging TVs:

It can be expensive to mount your flat panel TV in some challenging situations, with no wires showing. Depending on the finish and construction of the wall, the price of mounting can be hundreds of dollars. This is my specialty!
Alternatively, placing the TV on a piece of furniture can result in NO INSTALLATION COST, and it typically hides the wires! Depending on your situation, placing your TV on a piece of furniture can be a very practical and attractive option! This avoids installing a TV mount securely on the wall, it avoids hiding the wires within the wall, and it avoids removal, patching, and painting when you leave the rental! Of course, the height restrictions of placing a TV on a piece of furniture means that if you want the TV mounted higher than your piece of furniture allows, you may need to mount your TV on a wall. In that case, you have three options for running wire to your TV: you can leave the wires exposed ($0), you can install inexpensive WireMold to camouflage the wire in a plastic or metal sleeve, or you can run the wires inside the wall.
Discovering the best location for your TV is a great early investment of your time! If you follow the arbitrary and irresponsible TV placement suggestions by others, you will get what you bargain for!

If you are bargain hunting for the lowest price TV mounting, let me know and I will send you a list of local companies and individuals that can give you a low price. I'm not in that business!
A FACT: No one, other than yourself, can determine the best location for your TV!

First Step
I use blue or green tape as it will not peel paint from your wall. I use a level when taping a cardboard temp[ate to your wall. Then, I ask you to imagine your new TV. and we experiment with the location until you identify the best place for it.

As previously mentioned, the positioning of your TV may be on a wall or on a piece of furniture.

Second Step
You must decide generally where in the room you want the TV.

-
Which wall?
-
How you want the seating arranged in the room?
-
Should it line up aesthetically with other objects in the room?
-
Should it be evenly spaced between two adjacent objects - a picture or mirror, a door, or a corner?
-
Do you plan to make room on the wall for a future stuff?
-
Relative to the window(s), which wall or window treatment will allow you to watch glare free. in the morning, evening, etc?
-
Where is your most comfortable viewing position?
-
Will you be reclined when viewing, or sitting up?
-
Will your partner or children also be watching?
-
Move the template to various positions on the wall.
-
While you are sitting in your viewing chair, sofa, etc. confirm the desired position aesthetically.
Third Step
Once you have selected the general position of your TV, it is important to determine exactly how high you want it located.
Fourth Step
Once we determine the exact position of your TV, I will identify the studs in your wall I will use to determine the location of wiring, and other structures within your wall.
Fifth Step
Depending on whether the TV will need to swing out from the wall or remain stationary, I will recommend a practical mounting bracket that can be delivered by Amazon the following day.
Sixth Step
I will route the power and signal to the new TV location.
Seventh Step
The TV bracket must be mounted Securely so that it will support the TV.
Eighth Step
The TV must be hung, the sound bar and wires connected, and the TV adjusted.
