ABOUT the founder:
My background and ladder fall that I own
After a long and fulfilling career as an antiterrorism security technician and entrepreneur, protecting many of our nation’s most critical facilities and assets from terrorist attack, I retired at 72, only to realize I wasn’t ready to slow down. To stay active and continue serving my community, I started a handyman business. What began as a hobby quickly became a passion: solving problems, tackling diverse projects, and bringing satisfaction to clients who appreciated honest, high-quality, long-lasting, and reasonably priced work.
,d curiosity are still intact! My body may have changed with it's titanium reinforcements, but my mind remains sharp, and my passion for innovation, problem-solving, and helping others has only deepened!
As I gently age, I pursue new missions with greatly renewed determination
Today, my purpose has evolved. I now devote my time and experience to five areas that reflect the core of who I am — a lifelong innovator, educator, and builder of hope!

1. Innovation and Invention
I’ve been a visual thinker and inventor since childhood. Over the past seven decades, I’ve developed numerous tools, products, and solutions to make life better. Now, I’m focused on bringing public domain innovations to life, sharing them as open-source knowledge in order to spark collaboration, empower entrepreneurs, and contribute to our greater good! I see myself as a global citizen with a mission to inspire creative problem-solving and a 'Builder of Hope', worldwide!

2. Supporting the lives and education of children with Autism. We are now expanding that program to accelerate all learners around the globe!

3. The Social Good Innovation Fund
I founded the Social Good Innovation Fund, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, to share my inventions and innovations as open-source knowledge. The goal is simple: to empower individuals and communities, especially those who feel overlooked or discouraged, with tools and ideas that foster independence, creativity, and their hope!

4. Empowering Entrepreneurs (The Level Ground Initiative)
Instead of winding down my handyman business as I grow older, I’m reimagining it in the following way. Renaming it to The Level Ground Initiative, built on a simple but durable principle familiar to anyone who has built a successful enterprise: lasting structures require level ground beneath them. In practical terms, this means reducing the structural barriers that prevent capable individuals from translating skill, effort, and responsibility into their own sustainable businesses while maintaining high professional standards and personal accountability.

The initiative will consist of three aligned but independent entities:

Level Ground Institute (501(c)(3)), which will provide education, exploratory skills exposure, mentoring, and barrier removal for emerging entrepreneurs and skilled trades trainees;
Level Ground Cooperative, a member-owned entity that will provide shared administrative infrastructure, coordination, and continuing education and licensure, while preserving full business independence; and
Level Ground Independent Professionals, licensed entrepreneurs who will operate their own for-profit businesses and voluntarily associate with the cooperative for support, opportunity, sustainability, and pride

5. Love - Not anger, frustration, or retribution!
Living in an ever-changing world challenges me to adapt in my own way. I believe that LOVE, generosity, HOPE, happiness, understanding, and above all, PERSONAL HONESTY are the only path forward for me. Locking myself into a steel cage of anger, frustration, or retribution WOULD DESTROY MY LEGACY AS INSIGNIFICANT!

At heart, I am a doer. I am a person of ideas, of opportunities, and of COMMUNITY. My life’s mission has always been to solve problems, uplift others, and make the world a little better every day. The tools have changed, but the purpose remains the same: creativity, compassion, love, and contribution.
